Announcement: Riparian Management Workshop 2019
Pala, CA – The Pala Band of Mission Indians and the Pala Environmental Department announces the 2019 Riparian Management Workshop.
2019 Riparian Management Workshop
Tuesday, April 30, 2019
Wednesday, May 1, 2019
8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Pala Administration Building
The Pala Environmental Department and our amazing co-collaborator Chris McDonald are once again planning to host a FREE Riparian Management Workshop at the Pala Administration Building.
This year we will be focusing on the crazy “Boom & Bust” cycles we have in California: Years of drought followed by wet years, flooding, and mudslides. With climate change, funding losses, and weather issues, our rivers, streams, and wetlands need all the help we can provide through traditional knowledge and cutting edge science.
Spots fill up fast, so please hold open April 30th and May 1st. This 2-day workshop includes many amazing speakers and a short field trip with a focus on Tribal lands, Southern California river habitats, and working together for management and environmental protection.
COSTS
This is a free event.
REGISTRATION
When we hit our limit, that’s it! This has been a very popular event in the past, so we expect to fill up quickly. Please register now. (Lunch will be provided.)
Tribal employees and Tribal members may be given priority on open spots if needed.
