“Sky, Water, Land, People”
Our mission is to protect Pala’s environment, people, community, culture, and health through culturally and scientifically focused stewardship of Mother Earth.
We have downloadable fact sheets on all sorts of topics, from butterflies and bees to composting and recycling. Planet Pala is also the place to hear about hands-on workshops, environmental education activities, and events for the whole family.
Some of our events include family movie nights featuring environmentally-themed films, hands-on environmental activities, and workshops for learning about low-water gardening, native plants, traditional foods, green cleaning, climate change adaptation, and more.
Pala’s youth gets their own group, Planet Pala KiDS, which will focus on fun and kid-friendly activities like wildlife coloring books, a youth community garden, and contests. Planet Pala KiDS makes it easy and fun to learn about protecting our environment!
Meetings are held at 10 am on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Pala Administration Building.
Check here often for information about upcoming meetings and special events.
