Kurt Broz

Kurt Broz has worked as the Environmental Planner for the  Pala Band of Mission Indians and has worked in the Pala Environmental Department since 2023. 

Kurt works on a variety of projects for the Tribe, including land use planning, wildfire prevention, wildlife conservation, habitat restoration, and grant management. Through various partnerships and grants, Kurt helps maintain and expand the Fuels Program, which constructs or maintains fuel breaks to protect against wildfire throughout Pala.

Funding for projects such as the greenhouse helps support Kurt’s habitat restoration work and community outreach around native plants. Kurt enjoys working on partnerships and projects with agencies and NGOs, including the San Diego Botanic Garden, SDSU, and others.
