Heidi Brow
Environmental Coordinator
Heidi Brow is the Environmental Coordinator for the Pala Band of Mission Indians and has worked in the Pala Environmental Department since 2005.
Heidi works closely with the Environmental Director, providing oversight and coordination of environmental program areas, and helping to develop and implement policies, goals, planning, and guidance for the department. She also provides grant financial management assistance, ensuring that grant reporting requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
Heidi also oversees Pala’s USEPA grant-funded water resource program, which includes the following activities: monitoring surface and groundwater quality; oversight of the tribe’s drinking water program and compliance with all USEPA Safe Drinking Water Act regulations; developing water resource reports and program implementation for the tribe on water quality and quantity protection, flood and erosion control measures, drought management and water conservation pilots, and other general water resource protection efforts; and conducting outreach to both the tribal community and watershed-wide outreach.
Additionally, she works on several of the tribe’s climate change efforts, such as reports, planning, and outreach.
