Tribal Heritage Grant
The Pala Band of Mission Indians is pleased to announce that the Pala Tribal Historic Preservation Office (Pala THPO) has been awarded a Tribal Heritage Grant in the amount of $49,378 from the National Park Service Historic Preservation Fund for the project “Strategic Planning for Effective Protection, Preservation, and Management of Pala Cultural Resources.”
The Pala THPO, in coordination with the Pala Cultural Resources Committee (PCRC) and the Cupa Cultural Center, will develop a strategic plan that focuses on management practices that will protect Pala’s cultural sites, artifacts, collections, and archives, with the goal of making them more accessible to the Pala community.
